Hello!
I'm Megan Elizabeth Gonzales. (Meg for short.) Here's just a little bit about me that you should know!
I love the idea of creating something out of nothing to build on an idea and bring that concept to life. I believe that sketching is the most vital part in the creative process. Hours can be wasted in a computer program, but unless the idea is solidified on paper first, the computer is just a hindrance. I've been an avid doodler since the third grade, just look through any of my old school notebooks for evidence. My childhood doodling habits have carried over well into my college years. Without those first doodles, I don't get the chance to get out all of the concepts swirling around in my head on paper. It may seem time consuming, but I enjoy the process!
My Story
I'm a Louisiana southern gal born and raised on gumbo and sweet tea. I come from a small town, and now reside in Lafayette, Louisiana after attending school here at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I will receive a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design in May 2014, and I am proud to be a Ragin' Cajun! Music is just as important to me as art. It's been a hobby and passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Between music and art, I have already gotten the opportunity to travel to Madrid, New York, and London—memories and experiences that I will always be thankful for. But I don't plan on packing away my suitcase and passport just yet! There's still so much left of the world I want to see and experience. After all, after graduation, I will be a newcomer in the real world, might as well make it as interesting as possible!
